How to Play FireBlob Winter

Your primary objective is to navigate each level safely and light up the wood pyre. Run and jump across various platforms, but be careful with your momentum on the slippery ice. When you come into contact with specific ice blocks, your character's heat will automatically melt them, changing the layout of the level. Avoid falling into deep pits or touching deadly spikes as you figure out the correct path to the campfire.

Controls

• Movement: Use the A and D keys (or the Left and Right Arrow Keys) to move your character sideways. On mobile devices, use the on-screen touch buttons.
• Jumping: Press the W key, Spacebar, or the Up Arrow Key to jump. Double-press the jump button to perform a higher double jump.

Strategies

• Do Not Rush on Slippery Ice: The winter physics in this game introduce inertia, meaning your character will slide slightly after you stop moving. Time your jumps early and slow down before reaching narrow ledges to prevent accidental slips.
• Analyze Before Melting: Melting ice blocks is permanent and changes the structure of the map. Look at the entire level layout before stepping on a block, as destroying a platform prematurely might make the campfire unreachable, forcing you to restart the stage.
• Master the Double Jump: Many advanced levels feature wide chasms and tall walls that cannot be cleared with a standard leap. Get comfortable with the timing of your double jump to maximize your horizontal distance and vertical height during tricky platforming sequences.
